INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL WITH COMPETITIVE CHARACTER “SERGEJ MIHAJLOV” STIP
According to the facts that music knows no boundaries only the necessity to present effort and art on an international level, the desire to establish lasting relations and collaborations on a higher global level, in 2020. in Stip for the first time is organized and realized the International festival with competitive character “SERGEJ MIHAJLOV” STIP.
The only common motive of all participants, competitors, teachers and mentors of this international festival with a competitive character is to present and affirm the art, their long-term work and talent, while establishing international cooperation with other institutions and collaborators. The performances of this festival are organized at the regional, school and state level and they are attended by members of an international expert jury and a large audience of parents, teachers and students, all music lovers.
The fact that most of the existing competitions and festivals, both nationally and internationally are in the field of classical music has imposed the idea of organizing such an international festival with a competitive character, but for all types of instruments, music groups and various disciplines from several branches of music such as:
– CLASSICAL MUSIC (all instruments)
– POP AND JAZZ (all instruments, vocals, vocal groups)
– TRADITIONAL INSTRUMENTS AND ENSEMBLES
– THEORETICAL OBJECTS
For the first time as organizers of this International Festival with competitive character “Sergej Mihajlov” Stip we incorporated the discipline POP and JAZZ AND TRADITIONAL INSTRUMENTS and COMPOSITIONS, with the opportunity for the performers of pop, jazz, traditional and musical, to compete and present to a number of other performers and artists on an international level..
The festival has grown into a traditional one, it is held every year in May in Stip, on several locations and existing halls, as well as in the eponymous school DMUC “Sergej Mihajlov” Stip and it is organized by the Association for culture, art and science ,ART FOR ALL -Stip , in direct cooperation with DMUC “Sergej Mihajlov” Stip.
The first international festival was held in 2020, in the period from 16 to 20 NOVEMBER, in extremely difficult conditions, during the pandemic of Covid – 19 but, despite that, it was attended by 275 participants and 35 domestic and international members of the jury. The whole festival due to health measures ended with an ONLINE concert of the participants who received special awards. The same festival was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
The second festival was held in 2021, in the period from 10 to 14 May and this time , the number of participants , as well as the number of visitors was twice as much (500 participants from 9 countries) from the first festival in 2020. The festival ended on May 14 with a GALA CONCERT in the Cultural Center “Aco Shopov” in Stip where the organizing committee chose the GRAND -PRIX of the festival in each discipline.
The only goal and vision of this International Festival with competitive character “Sergej Mihajlov” Stip is promotion of young musicians and talents from our country and abroad, promotion and cooperation with members of the jury from all over the world, cooperation with music institutions and associations at world music festivals. The participants and the competitors of this festival with international and competitive character “Sergej Mihajlov” Stip will be indirectly acquainted with the way of work of a large number of mentors, professors and teachers from all over the world, as well as with their culture and education.
With our motto ” A NEW VIEW OF THE COMPETITIONS IS THE FUTURE OF THE COMPETITIONS” we hope that this International Festival with competitive character “Sergej Mihajlov” Stip will exist and every year will be even more successful , and will bring together a large number of artists, students, teachers and mentors from around the world.
